Bible Study Sessions at St. Augustine's.

BIBLE STUDY / PRAYER MEETING: 7.30 pm on Wednesdays, in the Choir Vestry, alternate weeks.
James Bond -Threats! Thrills! Guns! Girls! In all his many adventures, James Bond has to deal with these issues on numerous occasions. But these subjects are not confined solely to the cinema screen. In a series of Bible studies commencing at St Augustine's on Wednesday 3rd May, we will be looking not only at how James Bond handles the problems, but also what the Bible has to say, and what it teaches us. Is the secrecy a spy embraces a bad thing? Can a Christian be patriotic? Was Esther the original Bond girl? All are welcome to come along to find out, in a course that may leave you both shaken and stirred. Commencing on 3rd May between 7.30pm and 9pm in the choir vestry. These sessions are for the WHOLE PARISH!

Please note that this is a parish-wide service and the main morning services at the other churches in the parish will not be taking place.
Everyone is very welcome to join us to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Augustine of Canterbury.

Days of Prayer: Prayer is an essential focus of Christian life and something we do regularly. Throughout the Parish, during 2017, we will be making prayer even more of a focus.
As part of this, through the year, we will be designating various months as ’Days of Prayer’ for specific issues, such as the local community, world mission, etc.
May's 31 Days of Prayer focuses on Health & Social Care.
A Prayer Diary is available at all the Churches in the Parish. Please feel free to take one home and use in your daily prayer life.
We also encourage those who lead Prayers during our Sunday and Mid-Week Services to use these diaries as well, which will suggest a different focus for prayer each day.
We hope you will be able, in whatever way, to take part positively in our Parishes focus on prayer for 2017.
